Technical Requirements for ImageNow
The AIMS team while working with ITS staff handles the primary support for ImageNow system. They are responsible for updates/patches, troubleshooting, enhancements, etc. Contact with the technical team is directed through the AIMS Office.
The AIMS team is the first line of response for most problems, with the Imagenow processes and end-user trouble shooting. If you experience issues with the ImageNow system, please contact ITS help desk and put in a work ticket or contact firstname.lastname@example.org (810) 762-3476. Both AIMS unit and the Help Desk seek to stay informed about the software and network issues that affect user interactions with the ImageNow system, and often are able to resolve things on the front end.
The typical course of events would be that an end-user having problems would contact the Help Desk and if it is something they are able to resolve on their own they do so. If it needs to be escalated to a second level, the AIMS team and take the appropriate action.

ImageNow does not currently support operating the client on Mac’s. We have not tested and cannot verify if the Scanner and scanner software will work with the Mac set-up.
ImageNow and PeopleSoft Browser Requirement:
When using ImageNow to interact with Banner, or another web-based system, Internet Explorer is the only browser supported by AIMS at this time.
ImageNow offers a recommended list of supported scanners. This is only a partial list. Existing UM-Flint projects have had recent success by purchasing from the recommended list. Any scanner purchased will need to work with the ImageNow Capture software and if desired Kofax software. Additionally, each scanner must be connected to a workstation meeting the Windows workstations specifications. Please contact AIMS department at email@example.com before you purchase a scanner.
Almost all of UM-Flint staff/faculty is primarily using WebNow to access the documents. It can be easily accesses via Internet Explorer Browser - http://imagenow.umflint.edu/Only a few select users will need to install Imagenow client who would be actually scanning and linking documents in Imagenow system. For those selected ImageNow client installation files are available on the UM-Flint’s secure software network drive. For questions or additional assistance regarding the client install please contact the AIMS unit at firstname.lastname@example.org. Client installations should be performed by user and the Department's Local Technical Support.
