Chancellor Person Salutes UM Alum
UM Alum David Zick, Chancellor Ruth Person, and Francine Zick
On May 27th, 2010, we had a celebration of the David and Francine Zick gift to our campus. This $1.4 million pledge is the largest donation to our campus by an alumnus, and will serve multiple purposes. In every way, David and Francine epitomize the "Three T's" of giving; Time, Talent, Treasure. They have given of their time on numerous occasions as committee members or leaders of campus efforts; their talents have been shared with us in many ways-- for example, David served as our December 2009 Commencement speaker; and their treasures have been shared with us, and through their pledge, will continue to be shared with us in the future. I salute them both, and I look forward to working with them now and in the future to continue making the Michigan difference.
