Building Hours
The hours posted are the regular and normal hours that the buildings are open. There are occassions when buildings may be open or closed at times other than listed. Examples include holidays and spring/summer sessions. The Department of Public Safety may be contacted for any questions in regards to the building's open or closed status. For building closure(s) due to emergencies or inclement weather, please check the University's main page at http://www.umflint.edu/.
The Department of Public Safety is responsible for monitoring all campus-wide fire and intrusion alarms. Alarms are monitored 24-hours-a-day. When an alarm is received, an officer or other appropriate personnel will be dispatched to investigate.
A specific individual or group will be admitted to a building or room after hours, on weekends and holidays only if the Department of Public Safety has received written authorization from a department, no later than 48 hours prior to the date the facilities are to be used. Authorization should be written for an individual or group by the person in charge of the room or area involved.
