Printing the Honors Thesis

The student does not receive a grade for HON 495 and 496 (or their equivalents in the concentration) until the student has submitted the final revised draft of the thesis to the department. Generally the department covers the cost of binding (about $2.00 or $3.00 per copy on the average). If possible, use the perfect binding method in our Print Shop. If there are colored graphs and pictures, the student should submit at least four colored originals to be bound manually. Consult with Honors Director about the format of binding.

Generally seven or eight bound copies of the thesis are printed:

  • 2 or 3 for student
  • 1 for department
  • 1 for each reader and the advisor
  • 1 for Honors Program director’s archives
  • 1 for the library
