Study Abroad Academic Policies

For Faculty-Led Program Participants

Course Registration: If there is a course associated with the program, students are required to register for that course by the date specified. Failure to do so by the specified deadline is cause for dismissal from program without a refund.

Class Attendance: Students enrolled in a study abroad program are required to attend all scheduled classes, field trips and other group activities.

 

For Exchange Program Participants

Course Registration: Students must register for the appropriate course(s) for the term they plan on participating in the program. A Learning Agreement  must be completed and submitted with the application. While abroad, students are required to enroll in the courses they have been approved to take, or seek departmental approval for any changes. Students must request for a transcript to be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions or Office of Graduate Admissions for graduate students at the end of program.

For Affiliated & Other Program Participants

Course Registration: Students must submit a Study Abroad Course Credits Transfer Form along with the application indicating the courses they plan to take abroad with appropriate approval signatures. While abroad, students are required to enroll in the courses they have been approved to take, or seek departmental approval for any changes. If those courses are not offered while in country, students must enroll in the same number of credit hours they have been approved to take. Students must request for a transcript to be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions or Office of Graduate Admissions for graduate students at the end of program.
