Options. Choose a concentration from programs in physical geography, resource ecology or resource planning. We also offer a teaching certificate program in earth science and a certification program in environmental hazards/risk management. Select the option that works best with your aspirations.

Resources. Students at University of Michigan – Flint studying environmental science have access to some great facilities including an 18 station computer lab and a cartography lab with digitizing capabilities. There’s also a fantastic paper map collection and access to research materials both on our campus as well as at main campus in Ann Arbor.

Recognition. The environmental science department has several awards and scholarships available for students in the department, in specific concentrations or simply for being an outstanding student. The Flint Rock and Gem Club [http://www.flintrockandgem.org/] also participates with some of these scholarships.
