Prepare Your Resume

The purpose of a resume is to win you an interview. It needs to stimulate interest in meeting you and learning more about you.

Keep in mind that recruiters are reading dozens or hundreds of resumes. Make your resume:
inviting to read,
of the appropriate length for your career level (tell everything the reader needs to know and nothing more),
use design elements like bullets to guide the readers’ eyes,
list your work history in reverse chronological order (most recent first),
avoid the use of "responsible for" (just because you were responsible for something doesn't mean you actually did the task - tell the reader what you did),
include awards and affiliations and omit personal information.

Ask a professional to proof-read your resume.
