Professional Clothing Closet
Welcome to the UM-Flint Professional Clothing Closet!
A professional image is one of the most important but often overlooked priorities in a career context. Simply put, students must strive to dress how they want to be seen. This is not always an achievable reality for all of our students. A small group of caring education professionals are striving to change this!
The UM-Flint Professional Clothing Closet, located at 430 David M. French Hall, will provide education students with access to career attire appropriate for interviews, internships, student teaching, networking events, conferences, career fairs and more, free of charge. Our primary goal is to ensure students feel comfortable and prepared to make a positive first impression. We are excited to guide our students to look and feel self-confident for in-person professional work, events and virtual meetings.
The Closet is inclusive of all genders and sizes, and all clothing and accessories are offered at no cost. In addition to providing a wide variety of professional clothing and accessories, students may receive free resources and information on the importance of dressing professionally and the different types of professional attire in the workplace.
