Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
Reaffirming the Campus Commitment to the Ideals of DEI
In December 2019, Chancellor Dutta announced plans to create a group representing faculty, students, and staff to explore issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion at UM-Flint. In January 2020, he announced the formation of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee at UM-Flint. The purpose of this group is to create an action plan to address DEI initiatives on the campus. The DEI Committee has taken several steps and created a draft plan, inviting input from the campus community. Work to implement key initiatives of the action plan will begin in Fall 2020.
