“I was able to take all of my classes online but rarely went into any courses without recognizing some of my classmates from the program. Completing my internship in the middle of a pandemic was challenging but rewarding. It was very rewarding to pitch my ideas and see them become a reality. I faced my fears and grew in areas I was deficient in, such as lack of confidence. I am currently working in health care as a director of nursing. This is a promising and growing field, and we need more people who want to make a difference in health care because there is a lot of work to be done, especially when it comes to diversity, inclusion and justice.”
