Verification of Employment (VOE)
All verification of employment requests for the Flint Campus are processed by the Shared Services Center in Ann Arbor. Verification of Employment is a process used to review and verify employment history. This information is often used by banks, mortgage lenders, and government agencies. The SSC offers VOE services for past and present employees, including those from the Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses, the health system, retirees, and temporary employees.

- Home mortgages
- Housing/rental applications
- Basic background employment checks
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness Paperwork (PSLF)
How to Submit an Employment Verification Request:
Click the link below that applies to you, the person submitting the employment verification request:
- I am a Current Employee requesting verification
- I am a Former Employee requesting verification
- I am requesting Verbal Verification
- I am requesting on Behalf of a Current or Former Employee
Update:
Beginning on Monday, June 10, 2024, government agencies requesting employment verification on behalf of current and former employees and employees themselves now have the option to request the needed information at VaultVerify.com, our employment and income verification vendor. This applies to requests coming in from the following:
- Department of Health & Human Services
- Friend of the Court
- Social Security Administration
- Federal Investigators
- Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency
- Other government agencies
- Directly from employees
All remaining requests, including Public Service Loan Forgiveness, will continue to be processed by the SSC for the foreseeable future.
