Service Vehicle and Restricted Parking Permits
Service Vehicle (Blue Permit)
To facilitate and maximize service operations, including short-term deliveries, pick-up/drop-off of materials, repair services, and outside vendors, a service vehicle permit is available and may be requested through the DPS Administrative Office.
The designated service vehicle parking spaces are available for limited durations; parking in excess of one-half hour is discouraged. If circumstances arise that require parking in a service vehicle space for an extended period of time, please notify DPS at (810) 762-3333. Improper use may result in retraction of the service vehicle permit.
Restricted Parking (Gold Permit)
A Restricted Parking Permit is authorized by the Director of the Department of Public Safety and allows parking in the restricted spaces at the UPAV Parking Ramp and any service vehicle space across campus. Contact the DPS Administrative Office for more information.
Handicap Parking
A valid university permit and a valid State of Michigan permit is required to park in a handicap space on campus. Click here to view all handicap parking locations on campus. For short-term needs or emergent situations, students, faculty and staff may obtain a temporary handicap permit. These permits are valid for up to 30 days and require documentation from a medical professional. Parking permits requested in excess of 30 days must be obtained by the Michigan Secretary of State. Contact Disability and Accessibility Support Services for more information.
